Norwegian Foreign Minister meets Field Marshal Asim Munir at GHQ

RAWALPINDI, Aug 13: A high-level delegation from Norway, led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Espen Barth Eide, called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi, on Thursday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, regional security and bilateral relations between Pakistan and Norway.

Field Marshal Asim Munir highlighted Pakistan’s perspective on global peace and regional stability and underscored the importance of cooperation and collective efforts to address common security challenges.

The Norwegian foreign minister appreciated the professional role played by the Pakistan Armed Forces in promoting regional peace and stability.

Both sides reiterated their resolve to further strengthen bilateral relations and expand engagement in the defence and security domains.
