Commerce News — A Trusted Voice for Business, Trade and the Economy

Commerce News (CommerceNews.pk) is a Pakistan-based English-language digital news platform dedicated to business, trade, the economy, investment, industry, agriculture, technology and financial markets.

Our purpose is not limited to reporting business news. We aim to help entrepreneurs, traders, investors, professionals, policymakers, students and the general public understand economic developments and their practical consequences.

Along with breaking news and market updates, Commerce News seeks to explain the background, relevant data, policy implications, opportunities and risks associated with major economic developments. Our key coverage areas include the national budget, taxation, imports and exports, industrial production, financial markets, energy, real estate, agriculture, digital business and emerging commercial trends.

Commerce News is a digital media project of Dost Marketing Private Limited and operates under the Dost Digital Division (3D).

Our Mission

Our mission is to make business and economic journalism in Pakistan more credible, accessible, informative and relevant to everyday decision-making.

We believe that important economic information should not remain limited to financial experts and large corporations. It should also be available in clear language to small businesses, young entrepreneurs, farmers, investors, professionals and ordinary citizens.

Our editorial approach is based on the following principles:

  • Business and economic information should be verified as far as reasonably possible before publication.
  • Statistics should be presented with their proper context, source and relevant period.
  • Official claims, corporate statements and independent analysis must be clearly distinguished.
  • Commercial, political or advertising interests should not influence editorial decisions.
  • Investment-related content should not be presented as a guarantee of profit or a substitute for professional financial advice.
  • Speed is important, but accuracy, context and transparency remain our priority.
  • Genuine errors should be reviewed and corrected promptly.

Our Editorial Vision

Economic decisions directly affect inflation, employment, business costs, investment, public finances and the daily lives of citizens. However, economic information is often presented through complicated terminology, isolated statistics or one-sided claims.

Commerce News aims to explain complex business and economic developments in clear and professional language. We want our readers not only to know what happened, but also to understand why it happened, whom it affects and what may happen next.

Our editorial policy rests on four fundamental principles.

1. Accuracy

We seek to review official documents, financial reports, corporate statements, economic data, credible research and the positions of relevant stakeholders before presenting material information.

2. Independence and Balance

Commerce News does not serve as the mouthpiece of any political party, corporate group, financial institution or commercial interest. On disputed issues, we aim to present the available evidence and relevant viewpoints fairly.

3. Responsible Use of Data

Statistics should not be used merely to produce attention-grabbing headlines. We aim to explain the relevant period, historical comparison, economic context and practical significance of important data.

4. Accountability and Transparency

We accept responsibility for the content we publish. If a correctable error is identified, it is reviewed and, where appropriate, corrected, clarified or updated.
