U.S. Envoy Natalie Baker Calls on Ishaq Dar, Discuss Bilateral Cooperation, Regional d developments

ISLAMABAD, Aug 14: U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Natalie A. Baker called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Friday and discussed Pakistan-U.S. bilateral cooperation and recent regional developments.

During the meeting, Ishaq Dar appreciated the positive trajectory in Pakistan-U.S. relations and emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomacy for achieving lasting peace.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister stressed that implementation of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on June 18, 2026, in letter and spirit was the only way forward.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and security while emphasizing that the country would continue to safeguard its national interests.

The U.S. Chargé d’Affaires appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability.

Natalie A. Baker also conveyed her felicitations to Ishaq Dar on the occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day.

The meeting covered matters of mutual interest and provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on bilateral relations and developments in the region.
