Petrol price rises by Rs3.81, diesel by Rs3.59 per litre

ISLAMABAD: The government has increased the price of petrol by Rs3.81 per litre and high-speed diesel by Rs3.59 per litre, raising their prices to Rs341.59 and Rs368.29 per litre, respectively.

The new prices came into effect on August 22. Before the increase, petrol was being sold at Rs337.78 per litre, while high-speed diesel was priced at Rs364.70 per litre.

Following the latest increase, petrol has reached Rs341.59 per litre, while high-speed diesel now costs Rs368.29 per litre.

The government has revised petroleum product prices amid fluctuations in international crude oil prices and import costs.

The latest increase will add further pressure to transport and other costs, as diesel is widely used by the transport, agriculture and industrial sectors.
