Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar Reviews Bilateral Ties With Kuwait FM

ISLAMABAD (special crosspondent) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar engaged in a high-level discussion with the Foreign Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, on Monday. The interaction focused on the consolidation of bilateral relations and the exploration of matters of mutual strategic interest. Both leaders utilized the occasion to reaffirm the enduring importance of bolstering the close, brotherly ties that have long characterized the relationship between Pakistan and Kuwait.

Strategic Regional Cooperation

During the dialogue regarding regional developments, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the indispensable role of dialogue and diplomacy in maintaining geopolitical order. Senator Dar underscored that the implementation of the Islamabad MoU in both letter and spirit remains the exclusive pathway for ensuring lasting peace and stability in the region. This diplomatic engagement mirrors recent efforts by the government to foster international partnerships, similar to the initiatives reviewed by leadership in other sectors, such as when Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar meets IMO Chief in London to discuss maritime cooperation. These ongoing consultations reflect Pakistan’s broader commitment to diplomatic engagement, which has previously seen Pak Donors holding the 34th blood donation camp in Kuwait, further bridging the social and humanitarian gap between the two nations.

Commitment to Shared Stability

The conversation concluded with a mutual commitment to continue high-level consultations to address common challenges. As the government continues its efforts to align national interests with global standards, such diplomatic dialogues remain a cornerstone of its foreign policy, echoing the same commitment to professional governance seen in the work of the Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb chairs high level ECC meeting aimed at economic stabilization. Both sides agreed to keep communication channels active to ensure the strengthening of institutional ties in the coming months.
