Islamabad Makes Learner Permits, Driving Licence Renewals and Duplicate Licences Online Only

*Islamabad:* Islamabad Traffic Police has introduced an online application system for three driving licence-related services: learner permits, driving licence renewals, and duplicate licences for lost or damaged documents. The services will no longer be available through the Traffic Headquarters in Faizabad or Islamabad Police facilitation centres, according to an announcement issued by the department.

Under the new arrangement, citizens can register through the Islamabad Traffic Police’s Driving Licence Management System (DLIMS) portal and submit online applications for the relevant services.

The online portal is available at:

According to the announcement, renewed and duplicate driving licences will be delivered directly to applicants’ homes through TCS courier service. Applicants have been advised to provide their complete names, accurate residential addresses and active mobile phone numbers when submitting their applications to ensure timely and correct delivery.

Islamabad Traffic Police has urged citizens to carefully verify the information provided in their online applications to avoid delays or difficulties in receiving their licences.

The initiative aims to facilitate citizens by making driving licence-related services accessible online and reducing the need for repeated visits to traffic offices and police facilitation centres.
