ISLAMABAD (special crosspondent) – Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission (HEC) has issued a stern warning to universities and degree-awarding institutions nationwide, indicating that admissions to business-related academic programs could be suspended if mandatory accreditation from the National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) is not obtained.

The HEC has expressed significant concern through an official advisory, noting that numerous higher education institutions continue to admit students into programs such as Business Administration, Management Sciences, Commerce, and Public Administration without the requisite NBEAC accreditation. All universities, business schools, faculties, institutes, and departments involved in offering business education have been instructed by the Commission to finalize their accreditation process for relevant programs by Fall 2027.
