ISLAMABAD (special crosspondent) – Pakistan’s security forces have successfully neutralized a cross-border drone incursion by the Afghan Taliban regime in Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed on Wednesday. The military has issued a stern warning, stating that any future provocations threatening Pakistan’s sovereignty will be met with an overwhelming response.

Swift Air Defence Response Thwarts Incursion

According to the military’s media wing, the incident occurred on June 30 when the Afghan Taliban regime launched four (4) rudimentary drones across the border into Balochistan. The cross-border movement was part of Kabul’s ongoing patronization and support of terrorist outfits operating from Afghan soil. “The hostile aerial platforms were immediately picked up by Pakistan’s robust air defence network,” the ISPR stated. Demonstrating high operational readiness, Pakistani security forces utilized sophisticated countermeasures to successfully destroy all four incoming drones before they could cause any damage.

‘Hollow Rhetoric to Distract the Afghan Public’

The ISPR strongly condemned the Afghan Taliban’s actions, characterizing the drone incursion as a desperate gimmick to mislead an Afghan population already suffering under an oppressive regime. “Instead of trying to sedate their population through such antics and hollow rhetoric, they should eschew sponsorship of terrorism and adhere to the principle of peaceful coexistence,” the military stated, warning that such irresponsible behavior only compounds the hardships of the Afghan people.

Pakistan has delivered a definitive message to the leadership in Kabul, warning that continued provocations will come at a devastating price. The ISPR reiterated that the Pakistan Armed Forces remain fully vigilant, highly capable, and steadfast in defending every inch of the motherland. The statement concluded with a firm vow: any future misadventures or cross-border provocations that endanger Pakistani citizens or violate the state’s sovereignty will continue to face swift, decisive, and overwhelming responses under the ongoing Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq.
