Editorial Policy

Commerce News (CommerceNews.pk) is a Pakistan-based English-language business, trade and economic news platform, published under the Dost Digital Division (3D Media).

This policy sets out the standards our editorial team applies to every report we publish.

1. Accuracy

We verify information against official documents, financial reports, regulatory filings, corporate statements and the positions of relevant stakeholders before publication. Where a claim cannot be independently confirmed, we attribute it clearly to its source.

2. Sourcing and Attribution

Every figure, quotation and claim carries its source. Official data, corporate statements and independent analysis are always distinguished from one another. Where a source requests confidentiality, their identity is protected in line with accepted journalistic practice.

3. Independence

Commerce News is not the mouthpiece of any political party, corporate group, financial institution or advertiser. Commercial, political and advertising interests do not influence editorial decisions.

4. Balance on Disputed Issues

Where an issue is contested, we present the available evidence and the relevant viewpoints fairly. Individuals, companies and organisations named in a critical report are given a reasonable opportunity to respond.

5. Responsible Use of Data

Statistics are published with their proper period, source and historical context. We do not use data selectively to produce misleading headlines.

6. Financial and Market Content

Business, market and investment reporting is journalism, not financial advice. No report should be read as a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any share, currency, commodity, property or digital asset. See our Disclaimer.

7. Opinion and Analysis

Opinion columns and analysis pieces are clearly labelled. The views expressed belong to their authors and do not necessarily represent the editorial position of Commerce News.

8. Advertising and Sponsored Content

Advertising, sponsored articles, corporate profiles and paid promotional material are identified separately from independent editorial content. Advertisers have no influence over news coverage.

9. Corrections and Right of Reply

We accept responsibility for what we publish. Where a correctable error is identified, it is reviewed and, where appropriate, corrected, clarified or updated, with the change noted on the report.

Any individual, company or organisation directly affected by a report may submit a right of reply with supporting information. Send the page link and a clear explanation to hanif.sabir@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 48 hours, where reasonably possible.

10. Responsible Use of Technology

Commerce News uses modern technology, including artificial intelligence tools, to support research, content organisation, translation and publishing workflows. Every published report remains subject to human editorial review. Technology does not reduce our responsibility for accuracy, context or accountability.

11. Plagiarism and Copyright

Original reporting is our standard. Content sourced from news agencies, official releases or other publications is credited. Images and material belonging to others are used only for news reporting and public interest purposes, with credit where available.

12. Editorial Responsibility

Editorial direction and journalistic standards are the responsibility of the Editor-in-Chief and the editorial leadership described on our About Us page.
