RAWALPINDI (special crosspondent) – In the wake of a recent escalation in terrorist activities targeting law enforcement agencies and a deadly vehicle-borne suicide bombing in Bannu District, security forces have launched extensive, joint intelligence-based operations to dismantle the perpetrator networks. The attack, attributed by authorities to the Indian-backed group Fitna Al-Khwarij, resulted in significant casualties among law enforcement personnel and civilians.

Over the past twenty-four hours, security forces engaged in fierce firefights with militants in Bannu and its surrounding regions. According to official reports from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), twenty-four members of the militant organization were killed during these operations. Troops recovered a cache of weapons and ammunition from the neutralized individuals, who were reportedly involved in multiple prior acts of terrorism against innocent citizens.

Officials have confirmed that operations in the district will remain ongoing until all individuals responsible for these cowardly acts are brought to justice. The government maintains that the state is steadfast in its resolve to eliminate foreign-sponsored extremism from the country.
