Pakistan Showcases Textile Prowess at Texworld New York City 2026

NEW YORK (special crosspondent) – Pakistan has reinforced its presence in the global textile market by showcasing its leading textile and apparel products at Texworld New York City 2026, one of North America’s premier international textile sourcing exhibitions.
Official Inauguration of Pakistan Pavilion
The Pakistan Pavilion, organised by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) in collaboration with the Trade and Investment Wing of the Consulate General of Pakistan in New York, was inaugurated at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center by Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh. The ceremony was also attended by Consul General Aamer Ahmed Atozai and Trade and Investment Counsellor Adnan Mahmood Awan.

Export Capabilities and Sector Growth
The pavilion features a wide range of Pakistani export products, including value-added textiles, apparel, home textiles, towels, leather goods, gloves, sportswear, and sporting equipment, highlighting the country’s manufacturing capabilities and export potential. Much like recent strategic international engagements, this exhibition underscores the nation’s push for economic integration. Speaking at the event, Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh said Pakistan’s textile sector remains the backbone of the national economy and continues to play a vital role in strengthening trade ties with the United States. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to expanding exports and promoting high-quality, internationally competitive products.
Strengthening Commercial Ties

Consul General Aamer Ahmed Atozai noted that Pakistan has built a strong reputation as a dependable sourcing destination for textile products and said the Consulate would continue supporting efforts to connect Pakistani manufacturers with American buyers and investors. Trade and Investment Counsellor Adnan Mahmood Awan described Texworld New York as an important platform for Pakistani businesses to increase their visibility in the US market, establish new commercial partnerships, and explore fresh export opportunities. This initiative is part of a broader trend of bureaucratic and trade reforms aimed at boosting output, similar to institutional efforts seen in other key provincial sectors.
