Pakistan-Saudi Arabia-Türkiye Defence Pact Marks Historic Milestone for Muslim Ummah

Pakistan-Saudi Arabia-Türkiye Defence Pact Marks Historic Milestone for Muslim Ummah

ISLAMABAD (special crosspondent) – Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety (PA&SS) Syed Imran Ahmed Shah on Sunday hailed the historic joint defence agreement signed between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye as a monumental achievement for both the nation and the global Muslim Ummah. He emphasized that the convergence of these three brotherly nations in Makkah delivers a robust message of peace, unity and solidarity to the international community.

A Strategic Framework for Regional Security

In a formal statement, the minister asserted that this landmark agreement serves to significantly bolster the existing bonds of friendship, mutual cooperation and strategic alignment between Islamabad, Riyadh and Ankara. The collaboration is widely regarded as a significant geopolitical shift, reminiscent of other major regional developments such as the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, which prioritize collective security frameworks.

Leadership and Diplomatic Vision

Syed Imran Ahmed Shah attributed this historic development to the proactive leadership and concerted diplomatic efforts of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir. The minister highlighted that the agreement reflects a shared resolve among the three nations to stand firmly by each other during times of adversity. A core pillar of this pact dictates that an act of aggression against one signatory will be viewed as an assault upon all three.

Promoting Stability for the Muslim World

The federal minister underscored that the enhanced cooperation between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye will play an instrumental role in fostering peace, security and stability across the region. He noted that while the State Bank of Pakistan Maintains Benchmark Interest Rate Amid Stability, the government is simultaneously pursuing robust international partnerships. The gathering in the holy city of Makkah is seen as a source of profound hope and unity for the Muslim world, signaling a cohesive approach to contemporary challenges. Syed Imran Ahmed Shah extended his congratulations to the leadership and citizens of all three nations, expressing optimism that these ties of brotherhood and cooperation will continue to flourish in the years ahead.
