During his address at the inauguration of the Yadgar-e-Fatah monument—a structure built to commemorate Pakistan’s victory in the recent conflict with India—the President lauded the current administration’s diplomatic agility, specifically citing their role in regional peace efforts between the United States and Iran.

Reflecting on Diplomatic Legacy and Modern Alliances

Reflecting on the nation’s historical trajectory, President Zardari invoked the legacy of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, noting his foundational role in organizing the historic Islamic conference in Lahore which paved the way for modern Islamic brotherhood. The President specifically praised the collaborative efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and General Asim Munir regarding the landmark joint defense agreement recently signed between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkiye.
