Zafar Bakhtawari-Led UBG Delegation Visits Rawalpindi Chamber, Congratulates Newly Elected Office-Bearers

ISLAMABAD: Secretary General of the United Business Group (UBG) Zafar Bakhtawari, along with a delegation, visited the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) and congratulated newly elected President Naushirwan Khalil Khan, Group Leader Sohail Altaf, Senior Vice President Wasim Aslam, Vice President Ikram Abbasi and executive members on their successful election.

The delegation included President Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry Samina Fazil, President Talagang Chamber Malik Shabbir, Central Organization of Traders Pakistan President Kashif Chaudhry and former executive member Malik Mohsin Khalid.

Speaking on the occasion, RCCI Group Leader Sohail Altaf thanked Zafar Bakhtawari and the delegation for visiting the chamber and said such activities were important for encouraging the business community, strengthening coordination and promoting unity among traders and industrialists.

He said the business community was playing a fundamental role in promoting economic growth and development in the country.

Zafar Bakhtawari appreciated Sohail Altaf’s longstanding services and positive role for the business community, saying that he had always played an active role in resolving issues faced by the chamber and traders and promoting unity within the business community.

He said Pakistan needed economic stability, increased exports, greater investment and a business-friendly environment. Chambers of commerce should play an effective role as a bridge between the government and the business community and contribute to strengthening the economy and promoting business activity.

Newly elected RCCI President Naushirwan Khalil Khan thanked the UBG delegation for its visit and congratulations.

Samina Fazil stressed the need to increase women’s participation in economic activities and expand business opportunities for women, while Hassan Sarosh termed stronger coordination between chambers of commerce and trade organizations a pressing need.

RCCI Senior Vice President Wasim Aslam thanked Zafar Bakhtawari, Samina Fazil, Malik Shabbir, Kashif Chaudhry and Malik Mohsin Khalid for visiting the chamber and encouraging the newly elected leadership.
