American Actress Causes Midair Disturbance, Bites One Flight Attendant and Punches Another

*New York:* American actress Selma Blair has reportedly been arrested over an alleged assault on flight attendants aboard a Delta Air Lines flight from Los Angeles to New York.

According to media reports, the incident occurred during the flight, where Blair allegedly bit one flight attendant and punched another. Two members of the cabin crew were reportedly injured, with one requiring hospital treatment.

Blair was taken into custody after the aircraft landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York. Police and medical personnel were called to the scene following the incident.

The actress also reportedly faced two additional charges related to alleged assaults on a police officer and a nurse in Queens, New York. The court set bail at $20,000 in cash or a $60,000 bond.

A representative for Blair said the actress had experienced a medical emergency during the flight. According to the representative, she received medical attention shortly after landing and her condition was stable.

Delta Air Lines said the safety of passengers and crew remained its top priority, adding that it maintained a zero-tolerance policy toward disruptive or unlawful behaviour. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) was also reportedly investigating the incident.

Blair was previously involved in an in-flight incident in 2016. She later said that she had consumed alcohol while taking medication, which affected her behaviour and left her with limited recollection of what had happened. She expressed regret over the incident.

The actress publicly disclosed her diagnosis of multiple sclerosis in 2018. However, the allegations surrounding the latest incident remain subject to legal proceedings, and no conviction in the current case has been confirmed.
