Federal Minister Aleem Khan Meets Sheikh Naif bin Eid Al Thani, Qatari Prince Shows Interest in Investment
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan held an important meeting with Qatari Prince Sheikh Naif bin Eid Al Thani in Islamabad, during which matters of mutual interest, bilateral relations and investment opportunities in various sectors were discussed in detail.
During the meeting, Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan said that Pakistan and Qatar enjoy strong religious, cultural and historic ties. He noted that thousands of overseas Pakistanis are associated with education and employment sectors in Qatar and are contributing to the development of both countries.
The minister offered Qatari investors opportunities for joint ventures in the construction and expansion of motorways and highways in Pakistan, saying that the government would warmly welcome investment from Qatar in all sectors.
Abdul Aleem Khan said that bilateral cooperation and joint business partnerships were in the broader interest of both brotherly countries. He appreciated Qatar’s active and positive role in the region and said Pakistan highly valued Qatar’s contribution to peace efforts between Pakistan and Iran.
On the occasion, Qatari Prince Sheikh Naif bin Eid Al Thani expressed keen interest in investing in various sectors of Pakistan. He said Qatar highly valued its strong relations with Pakistan and that the process of bilateral cooperation would continue to expand in the future.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan and Sheikh Naif bin Eid Al Thani exchanged good wishes and traditional gifts.
