Islamabad Model Colleges Open First-Year Admissions for Academic Session 2026-27
ISLAMABAD, July 31: The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has opened admissions for First Year (HSSC Part-I) classes in Islamabad Model Colleges for the 2026-27 academic session. Students who have passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC Part-II) examination are eligible to apply for admission to model colleges located in both urban and rural areas of the federal capital.
According to the FDE, the online admission process began on July 30, while the last date for submitting applications is August 5.
The shortlisted candidates will be announced on August 7, followed by document verification and interviews, which will continue until August 14.
The first merit list will be displayed on August 17, and selected candidates will be required to submit their admission fee by August 18. The second merit list will be published on August 19, while classes for the new academic session will commence on August 20.
The FDE said students can complete their online admission registration free of charge through designated Islamabad Model Colleges.
Eligibility for admission has been extended to students residing in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) as well as children of federal government employees serving in Islamabad or Rawalpindi.
The Directorate said admissions will be granted strictly in accordance with the approved admission policy. Detailed information, including the admission policy, college prospectus, subject combinations, eligibility criteria and application guidelines, is available on the FDE online admission portal.
