Lahore Press Club Independence Day Snooker Tournament: First Round Completed, Major Upset Recorded
LAHORE: Exciting and closely contested matches continued in the Independence Day Snooker Ranking Tournament organized by the Sports Committee of the Lahore Press Club, with the first round completed and the second round set to begin today.

The seeded players produced strong performances to secure their places in the second round. However, the tournament’s biggest upset so far came when Saif Awan defeated experienced player Muhammad Ali Sono after a tough and closely fought encounter.
Chairman Lahore Press Club Sports Committee Imran Sheikh watched the matches along with committee members Muhammad Iqbal Harper, Rafiq Khan, Muhammad Babar, Sarmad Khawaja and Abdul Rauf.

The Sports Committee members appreciated the players’ performances and expressed their best wishes to the competitors for the second round.
The tournament has attracted considerable interest, with players displaying skill, competitive spirit and determination in the ongoing matches.
The second round of the tournament will begin today, while the final is scheduled to be played on August 17.
