Pakistan Envoy Visits Calderon Textiles to Boost Pakistan-U.S. Trade Ties
CHICAGO: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, visited Calderon Textiles in the U.S. state of Indiana as part of his economic diplomacy and community outreach efforts aimed at strengthening trade and investment relations between Pakistan and the United States.
Calderon Textiles, a leading Indiana-based supplier of textile products to the hospitality and healthcare sectors, welcomed the ambassador to its headquarters and distribution center. During the visit, Ambassador Sheikh was briefed on the company’s operations, warehousing facilities, nationwide supply network, and its longstanding commercial engagement with Pakistan.
The ambassador appreciated the company’s enduring business relationship with Pakistan, noting that Calderon Textiles sources a significant portion of its textile products from Pakistani manufacturers.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Sheikh said the partnership reflects the quality, reliability, and global competitiveness of Pakistan’s textile industry and serves as an excellent example of mutually beneficial commercial cooperation between Pakistan and the United States.
He reaffirmed the Government of Pakistan’s commitment to expanding bilateral trade and attracting greater foreign investment through ongoing economic reforms and a transparent, business-friendly policy framework.
The ambassador emphasized that stronger business-to-business partnerships would create new commercial opportunities, boost bilateral trade, promote innovation, generate employment, and further strengthen the economic relationship between Pakistan and the United States.
