PTCL, WWF-Pakistan Hold ‘Plant for Pakistan’ Tree Plantation Drive

ISLAMABAD, Aug 14: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), in collaboration with the World Wide Fund for Nature-Pakistan (WWF-Pakistan), organized a tree plantation drive titled ‘Plant for Pakistan’ at the PTCL Training Academy in Islamabad as part of its Independence Day campaign, ‘Pakistan Jitna Jawan’.

The plantation drive reaffirmed the commitment of both organizations to promoting a cleaner, greener and more sustainable Pakistan.

PTCL Chief Executive Officer Nadeem Khan and WWF-Pakistan Senior Director Programmes Rab Nawaz participated in the plantation activity. Senior leadership from both organizations and PTCL employees also took part in the initiative, aimed at contributing to a healthier environment and a greener future for the country.

The ‘Plant for Pakistan’ campaign reflects PTCL’s broader commitment to reducing its environmental impact and advancing its sustainability agenda. The company is working towards reducing its carbon footprint and making progress towards its long-term goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions.

The initiative is expected to contribute to efforts aimed at building a greener, more sustainable and climate-resilient future for Pakistan.
