Regional Cricket Association Karachi General Body Meeting Elects Office Bearers
Karachi (Special Correspondent): The first Annual General Body Meeting of the Regional Cricket Association Karachi (RCAK) was held at the RCA Secretariat under the chairmanship of President Nadeem Omar, where elections for key office bearers were successfully completed and new office bearers and Executive Committee members were elected unanimously.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Ali Hussain, presidents, secretaries and treasurers of various zones, along with other members of the General Body. Proceedings commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the agenda items.
During the election process, Junaid Khalil Nainitalwala was elected Senior Vice President, Muhammad Tauseef Siddiqui was elected Joint Secretary, while Muhammad Majid Khan and Saim Ahmed were unanimously elected as members of the Executive Committee for a three-year term.
The General Body also approved the appointment of Najam-ul-Islam Jafri as Finance Manager. To strengthen financial transparency and accountability, Namdar & Company, Chartered Accountants, was appointed as the External Auditor of the Regional Cricket Association Karachi.

Speaking on the occasion, President Nadeem Omar congratulated the newly elected office bearers and said that unity, transparency and institutional strength are the foundation of Karachi cricket’s progress. He stated that the association’s foremost priorities are the promotion of club cricket, providing better opportunities to young talent, and establishing a strong system based on merit, transparency and professionalism.
He added that the Regional Cricket Association Karachi would continue working with all zones, clubs and stakeholders to improve the standard of cricket in the city and create greater opportunities for emerging players.
Secretary Ali Hussain said that under the leadership of President Nadeem Omar, significant initiatives had been undertaken over the past three years for the development and stability of Karachi cricket. He noted that sustained efforts to safeguard Karachi cricket’s interests had resulted in the inclusion of Karachi’s team in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, describing it as a major milestone in the city’s cricket history.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the newly elected office bearers thanked the General Body for its confidence and reaffirmed their commitment to promoting Karachi cricket, strengthening club cricket, ensuring transparent governance and enhancing the prestige of the Regional Cricket Association Karachi.
Former Test cricketer Khalid Nafees, Syed Muhammad Ahmed, Muhammad Imran Khan, S.M. Asim, Rehan Siddiqui, Ejaz Pachi, S.A. Faheem, Javed Iqbal and Azam Khan also congratulated the newly elected office bearers.
