Renowned Author Imran Malik Meets AIOU Director General Regional Services, Discusses Education

ISLAMABAD: Renowned author, columnist and former diplomat Imran Malik met Malik Tauqeer Ahmed, Director General of Regional Services at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), Islamabad, to exchange views on Pakistan’s education system, the promotion of distance learning and improving access to quality education for students.

During the meeting, the two discussed the importance of adopting educational strategies in line with modern requirements, promoting knowledge and research, and encouraging a stronger reading culture among young people. They also exchanged views on strengthening engagement between educational institutions and members of the literary community to encourage intellectual and academic activities.

On the occasion, Imran Malik presented a copy of his book, Coronavirus COVID-19, to Malik Tauqeer Ahmed. The book addresses topics related to the coronavirus and the COVID-19 pandemic.

The meeting highlighted the importance of intellectual exchange and stronger links between the literary community and educational institutions, with a focus on promoting knowledge, learning and academic engagement.
