Saudi importers show keen interest in Pakistani food products: Saifur Rehman

LAHORE: A Pakistani food delegation visiting Riyadh has received an encouraging response from Saudi business circles, with Saudi importers expressing keen interest in importing high-quality Pakistani food products.

Head of the delegation Saifur Rehman said Saudi Arabia’s growing consumer market offered significant opportunities for Pakistani food exporters.

The delegation held meetings with leading importers, distributors, retailers and business groups and briefed them on Pakistan’s food processing capabilities and competitive export potential.

Saudi business representatives showed particular interest in Pakistani rice, fruits, vegetables, processed foods, Zia snacks, confectionery, spices and other value-added food products.

The two sides also discussed strengthening direct business-to-business linkages, promoting bilateral trade and developing sustainable and long-term trade partnerships between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
