US Charge d’Affaires Meets Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Discusses Regional Security
ISLAMABAD, Aug. 5: United States Chargé d’Affaires to Pakistan, Ms. Natalie Baker, called on Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif in Islamabad on Wednesday to discuss matters of mutual interest, with particular focus on regional and international security developments.
According to an official press release, the two sides also exchanged views on prospects for further strengthening bilateral cooperation and reaffirmed the importance of maintaining close engagement on issues of shared concern.
During the meeting, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif underscored the importance of sustained engagement and constructive dialogue in advancing the shared objectives of regional peace, security and stability.
The meeting was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, reflecting the commitment of both Pakistan and the United States to continue regular dialogue and enhance cooperation on matters of mutual interest.
