Chinese Ambassador Calls on PM Shehbaz Sharif, Delivers President Xi’s Letter

ISLAMABAD: Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House on Thursday and delivered a letter from Chinese President Xi Jinping expressing appreciation for the Prime Minister’s message on the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening the all-weather strategic partnership with China, highlighting the positive momentum in bilateral relations.

The Prime Minister also underscored the importance of expanding people-to-people contacts as well as enhancing exchanges between the political parties and parliaments of the two countries.

During the meeting, the two sides also discussed bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on regional issues of mutual interest.
