ECC Approves Revision in Dealers’ Margins on Petroleum Products

ISLAMABAD, August 14: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb chaired a meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet at the Finance Division on Thursday and approved revision in dealers’ margins on petroleum products.

According to a press release issued by the Finance Division, the ECC considered a summary submitted by the Petroleum Division regarding revision of dealers’ margins on Motor Spirit (MS) and High-Speed Diesel (HSD).

The committee deliberated on the proposed revision and approved the changes in dealers’ margins on the two petroleum products.

The meeting was attended by Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain, Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema.

Federal secretaries and senior officials from the relevant ministries and divisions also attended the meeting.

The revision in dealers’ margins will have implications for petroleum dealers and the retail pricing structure of Motor Spirit and High-Speed Diesel.
