The talks followed the arrival of Croatian Foreign and European Affairs Minister, Dr. Gordan Grlić Radman, for a concentrated one-day diplomatic visit. A pivotal meeting occurred at the Prime Minister House, where Minister Radman held discussions with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. This engagement was further bolstered by the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Foreign Secretary Ambassador Amna Baloch, with the primary objective of charting a stronger bilateral trajectory for both nations.

He specifically identified trade, investment, information technology (IT), connectivity, agriculture, tourism, and the deployment of skilled manpower as key sectors ripe for enhanced collaboration. In a notable diplomatic overture designed to solidify future relations, the Prime Minister extended official invitations to Croatian President Zoran Milanovic and Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic to undertake official visits to Pakistan. Minister Radman, in turn, expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm hospitality extended to him and his delegation. He lauded Pakistan’s strategic contributions to regional peace and unequivocally affirmed Zagreb’s steadfast commitment to elevating bilateral cooperation.

Strategic Maritime and Economic Roadmap

In parallel with the call on the Prime Minister, Minister Radman led comprehensive delegation-level talks with his Pakistani counterpart, Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar. These discussions culminated in the delineation of a broad economic roadmap encompassing critical areas such as IT, defense, agriculture, climate change, and labor mobility. A particularly significant outcome of these talks was the identification of maritime infrastructure as a core strategic focus for future collaboration.
