ISLAMABAD (special crosspondent) – The Pakistan National Test cricket squad has officially departed from Islamabad International Airport for their upcoming tour of the West Indies. According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the team will travel to the Caribbean via Doha and London.

The 16-member squad is being led by star batsman Babar Azam as they gear up for the crucial ICC World Test Championship matches.

Pakistan’s 16-Member Test Squad

The squad announced for the tour includes a blend of experienced campaigners and emerging talent. The roster is as follows:

• Captain: Babar Azam
• Batters & All-rounders: Shan Masood, Imam-ul-Haq, Salman Ali Agha, Aamer Jamal, Abdullah Fazal, Azaan Awais, Muhammad Awais Zafar
• Wicketkeepers: Mohammad Rizwan, Muhammad Ghazi Ghouri
• Bowlers: Mohammad Abbas, Muhammad Ali, Khurram Shahzad, Ubaid Shah (Fast Bowlers), Sajid Khan, and Ali Usman (Spinners).

Schedule and Match Details

Upon arrival, the national side will play a 4-day warm-up practice match from July 18 to July 21 to acclimatize to the local conditions.

Following the practice match, Pakistan and the West Indies will lock horns in a 2-match Test series under the ICC World Test Championship banner, scheduled from July 25 to August 10. The matches will be played at Port of Spain, the capital of Trinidad & Tobago, and Tarouba.
