Pakistan to Host 10th Pakistan-Iran Joint Trade Committee Meeting on Tuesday ISLAMABAD, Aug. 3: Pakistan will host the 10th Pakistan-Iran Joint Trade Committee (JTC) meeting on Tuesday, August 4, as the two neighbouring countries seek to further strengthen bilateral trade, investment and economic cooperation. The meeting will be co-chaired by Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan and Iran’s Minister for Industry, Mine and Trade Mohammad Atabak. Special Secretary Commerce Syed Hamid Ali and senior officials from both countries will also participate. A 22-member high-level Iranian official delegation, along with a 16-member business delegation led by the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA), will attend the meeting. The business delegation represents key sectors including food, agribusiness, logistics, shipping, transportation, energy and manufacturing, providing an opportunity to expand private-sector engagement and strengthen commercial linkages between the two countries. The Joint Trade Committee will review progress on bilateral trade initiatives and discuss measures to advance the proposed Pakistan-Iran Free Trade Agreement (FTA). The agenda also includes facilitating cross-border trade, strengthening customs and banking cooperation, improving transport and transit connectivity, and expanding investment and commercial collaboration. According to the Ministry of Commerce, the meeting reflects the shared commitment of Pakistan and Iran to deepen their economic partnership, enhance regional connectivity and create new opportunities for bilateral trade and investment.
