PTCL Board Confirms Nadeem Khan as Permanent Chief Executive Officer

ISLAMABAD (special crosspondent) – The Board of Directors of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has formally confirmed the appointment of Nadeem Khan as the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Extensive Leadership Experience
Nadeem Khan brings more than two decades of leadership experience with PTCL and Ufone. Prior to rejoining the PTCL Group, he served for over seven years in various international leadership roles at Millicom International Cellular. He joined Ufone in 2003 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), a position he held for nearly a decade. In 2017, he was appointed Group Chief Financial Officer of PTCL and Ufone, where he led the Group’s financial strategy during a period of major corporate transformation, including the acquisition of Telenor Pakistan.
Professional Credentials and Board Roles
He currently serves on the Board of Directors of U Microfinance Bank. Nadeem Khan is a Chartered Accountant and a member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). He also serves as a member of the Accounting Standards Board of ICAP.
Strategic Vision for PTCL
As CEO, Nadeem Khan will lead PTCL’s nationwide expansion and modernization of its wireline network, with a strong focus on fiberization and the delivery of next-generation digital services. He will also oversee efforts to further strengthen the company’s leadership in the business-to-business (B2B) segment.
As Pakistan’s largest integrated Information and Communication Technology (ICT) company, PTCL continues to invest in broadband and fiber infrastructure, data centers, and submarine cable systems to reinforce its pivotal role in driving the country’s digital economy. Nadeem Khan assumed the responsibilities of Acting Chief Executive Officer on July 2, 2026, for an initial 14-day period. Following the Board’s approval today, he has now been confirmed as the permanent Chief Executive Officer of PTCL.
