Saudi Ambassador Nawaf Al-Malkiy Holds Strategic Meeting With Ishaq Dar

ISLAMABAD (special crosspondent) – The Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, H.E. Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy, held a formal meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, in Islamabad on Sunday to deliberate on strengthening bilateral cooperation. This diplomatic engagement follows a series of high-level discussions aimed at bolstering regional stability, similar to recent dialogues such as when the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif discussed regional peace with the Qatari Amir.

Diplomatic Commitments and Regional Stability

During the session, the two sides conducted a comprehensive exchange of views regarding the latest regional developments. Both dignitaries emphasized the critical importance of fostering collective efforts to promote dialogue and diplomacy as the primary tools for conflict resolution. The meeting served as a reaffirmation of the enduring commitment between the two nations to deepen their historic partnership, building on existing frameworks that have also seen the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif discuss regional peace with the Iranian President to ensure broader stability in the region.

Strengthening Bilateral Ties

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia maintain longstanding fraternal ties, which are firmly rooted in shared faith and comprehensive collaboration across political, economic, and security sectors. In recent years, both governments have significantly expanded their partnership, focusing on increasing bilateral trade, stimulating investment flows, securing energy cooperation, and enhancing people-to-people exchanges. These ties continue to be supported by frequent high-level contacts, ensuring that the two countries remain aligned on complex regional and international issues.
