ISLAMABAD (special crosspondent) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and the Foreign Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, co-chaired high-level delegation talks at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday. As Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar Meets Kuwaiti Foreign Minister in Islamabad, the two sides conducted a comprehensive review of all aspects of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Kuwait.

Expanding Bilateral Cooperation and Economic Ties

The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation across various sectors, including trade, investment, energy, human resources, agriculture, information technology, health, mining and minerals, defense, and broader economic partnerships. Both nations agreed to solidify institutional links and enhance the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation through the regular exchange of high-level contacts.

Commitment to Mutual Regional Stability

The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination and cooperation on issues of mutual interest within multilateral forums. The Kuwaiti Foreign Minister expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and sincere hospitality extended by the Government and the people of Pakistan to the Kuwaiti delegation. He also paid tribute to Pakistan for its support during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to its long-standing fraternal ties with Kuwait, expressing a desire to further expand the mutually beneficial partnership across all sectors. The parties also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest, including the situation in the Middle East and Palestine. The Foreign Minister of Kuwait commended Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting peace and stability in the region.
