BEIJING: Wang Xingxing, founder and chief executive of Chinese humanoid robot maker Unitree Robotics, has become the first entrepreneur from the humanoid robotics sector to become a billionaire ahead of the company’s planned initial public offering (IPO).
According to VnExpress, Unitree has set the indicative IPO price at 150.8 yuan per share on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, giving the company an estimated valuation of around 61 billion yuan, or $9.04 billion.
According to Forbes, the value of Wang Xingxing’s stake in Unitree has pushed his personal fortune to around $2.4 billion, making the 36-year-old the first Chinese entrepreneur to become a billionaire through the humanoid robotics industry.

Chinese artificial intelligence company DeepSeek is also among Unitree’s strategic investors.
Wang founded Unitree Robotics in 2016. The company initially focused on four-legged robots before expanding into humanoid robotics. Unitree is now regarded as one of the world’s leading companies in terms of humanoid robot sales and shipments.
According to the report, Unitree’s revenue increased more than fourfold in 2025 to 1.7 billion yuan, while revenue from humanoid robots reached 867.8 million yuan.
