Large-scale assignment of additional administrative, medical charges at PIMS
ISLAMABAD: Several senior administrative and medical officers have been assigned additional charges at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), while Dr Muhammad Salman has been appointed Executive Director PIMS. A formal notification to this effect has been issued.
According to the notification, the services of Dr Muhammad Salman have been placed at the disposal of PIMS on deputation and he has been appointed Executive Director PIMS (BS-21) for a period of three years.
Dr Salman will also continue to perform his duties as Chief Executive Officer of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and will hold the additional charge of CEO NIH until alternative arrangements are made.
Hasan Ashraf (BS-17), who is serving as Assistant Registrar (UG) at Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, has been assigned the additional charge of Assistant Director Security (BS-17). The additional responsibility will remain with him for three months or until the appointment of a regular officer.
Dr Amina, Medical Officer Pediatrics at PIMS, has been given the additional charge of Senior Registrar, Obstetrics and Gynaecology (Obs/Gynae), Mother and Child Health (MCH). The charge will continue for three months or until the availability of a regular incumbent.
Dr Rahmana Waris, Assistant Professor Pediatrics at PIMS, has been assigned the additional charge of Associate Professor Pediatrics, Children’s Hospital, for a period of three months.
Dr Shamaila, Associate Professor Obs/Gynae, MCH, has been assigned the additional charge of Professor and Head of Department Obs/Gynae, MCH (BS-20). The additional charge will remain effective for three months or until further orders.
Dr Nuzhat Yasmeen, Professor Pediatrics (BS-20), has been given the additional charge of Joint Executive Director, Children’s Hospital (BS-20), for three months. The responsibility may continue until the appointment of a regular incumbent.
Meanwhile, Dr Altaf Hussain, Professor ENT (BS-20), has been assigned the additional charge of Joint Executive Director Non-Medical (BS-20). The charge will remain effective for three months or until the appointment of a regular officer.
The notification states that all the additional assignments will take effect immediately.
