ISLAMABAD (special crosspondent) – Federal Minister for Human Rights Azam Nazeer Tarar held a high-level meeting with Dr. Maimoonah Al-Khalil, Secretary General of the Family Affairs Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to deliberate on critical issues regarding women’s rights, the stability of the family system, and enhanced bilateral cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). This diplomatic engagement underscores the importance of Pakistan’s international partnerships in advancing socio-political development.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar underscored that Islamic principles grant women comprehensive rights concerning education, inheritance, business, and active participation in social life. He invoked the historical significance of revered figures such as Hazrat Khadijah (RA), Hazrat Aisha (RA), and Hazrat Fatimah (RA), citing them as timeless, exemplary role models for women worldwide. In the context of regional stability and mutual cooperation, such dialogues often complement strategic efforts led by high-ranking officials to bolster bilateral relations.

The Minister further highlighted that Pakistan maintains a distinguished history in the Muslim world, noting that it was the first nation to elect a woman as prime minister. He emphasized that today, Pakistani women are actively and prominently engaged in various spheres of national development, contributing significantly to the country’s progress. Echoing sentiments regarding the need for regional unity, the discussions also touched upon broader goals similar to those expressed when Pakistan expresses concerns regarding regional stability.
