*ISLAMABAD (Special Correspondent):* Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member of the National Assembly *Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar* passed away after a prolonged illness. He was also the father of Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker *Malik Zaheer Iqbal Channar*. According to his family, he had been suffering from a brain haemorrhage for several weeks and underwent surgery, but could not recover. Political Career

Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar was elected to the National Assembly from *NA-168 Bahawalpur* in the 2024 general elections. He was regarded as one of the senior and ideological leaders of PML-N and remained actively involved in national and provincial politics for decades, serving the public through various political responsibilities.
