Lahore: Pakistan pulled off a sensational one-wicket victory over England in a thrilling encounter at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, as Shadab Khan produced a remarkable match-winning performance to turn the game around.

England, batting first, were bowled out for 241 in 46.4 overs. Ben Duckett led the innings with a brilliant 105 off 111 balls, while Sam Curran contributed 42 runs. Shaheen Shah Afridi spearheaded Pakistan’s bowling attack, claiming four wickets.

In reply, Pakistan found themselves in deep trouble after losing nine wickets for 154 runs, with England seemingly on course for a comfortable victory.

However, Shadab Khan had other plans. Batting brilliantly under pressure, he smashed an unbeaten 113 off 96 balls, turning an almost certain defeat into a memorable victory.

Shadab received crucial support from Haris Rauf as the pair guided Pakistan towards the target.

Pakistan eventually reached 243 for nine in 47.1 overs, securing a dramatic one-wicket victory with 17 balls to spare.
