PM Shehbaz Sharif expresses condolences over tragic sinking of passenger vessel in Mediterranean

Islamabad, August 30: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the tragic sinking of a passenger vessel in the Mediterranean Sea and conveyed his condolences to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

In a post on social media platform X, the Prime Minister expressed heartfelt condolences to his “dear brother” President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Turkish government and the families of those who lost their lives in the tragedy.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan was praying for the early and safe recovery of those still missing and paid tribute to the ongoing rescue and relief efforts.

He said that in this difficult hour, the people of Pakistan stood in complete solidarity with the people of their brotherly country, Türkiye.
