CHAKSWARI, ISLAMGARH (special crosspondent) – Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON, Engineer Amir Muqam, inaugurated the central election office of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate for LA-2, Chaudhry Azeem Bakhsh, at Kakra Town in Islamgarh on Monday. The event, which drew a large crowd of party faithful, signaled a strategic push for the party’s regional presence as it aims to strengthen its national development vision across various constituencies.

According to an official statement, the federal minister expressed gratitude to the party leadership and grassroots workers for facilitating the integration of new members into the PML-N fold. He issued a direct appeal to the electorate to ensure the victory of Chaudhry Azeem Bakhsh in the upcoming electoral process. Engineer Amir Muqam lauded the region as a land of martyrs and veterans, emphasizing that the local population’s historic sacrifices demand sustained commitment to their welfare.

Focus on Education and Fiscal Inclusion

Reflecting on the vision of party leader Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, the Minister highlighted that significant measures have been undertaken to uplift Azad Jammu and Kashmir. A key policy announcement included the establishment of five Danish Schools in the region, aimed at providing high-standard educational facilities. Furthermore, he reiterated that Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is a strong advocate for ensuring that Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan receive their due financial rights under the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award, a move seen by analysts as vital for sustainable economic growth.

Support for Local Contributions and National Security

The federal minister took time to acknowledge the historical contributions of refugees who settled in the area after enduring extreme hardships, noting their resilience as a cornerstone of local society. Turning to national security, he lauded the recent achievements of Pakistan’s Armed Forces, specifically referencing ‘Marka-e-Haq’ as a decisive success.
