Successful hot air balloon trial conducted in Naran, offering tourists aerial views
NARAN: A hot air balloon has successfully completed a trial flight in Naran, a popular tourist destination in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reaching an altitude of around 8,000 feet above sea level.
The trial was reported on August 24, 2026. The hot air balloon can accommodate up to five passengers at a time and is being operated by experts specially trained in Türkiye to ensure the safety of tourists.
The initiative aims to promote tourism in Naran and provide domestic and international visitors with a unique opportunity to enjoy panoramic views of the valley from the air.
A similar successful hot air balloon trial was conducted last year at Basian, a historic location in Balakot.
The launch of hot air balloon rides in Naran is expected to add a new and exciting attraction for tourists, allowing them to enjoy aerial views of the valley’s mountains, forests and natural landscapes.
