Afghan FM Amir Khan Muttaqi meets head of Kuwait’s Al-Sayer Group

KABUL: Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi met Mohammed Nasser Mohammed Al-Sayer, chief executive of Kuwait’s prominent Al-Sayer Group, to discuss ways to strengthen trade and economic ties between the two countries.

According to Ariana News, the meeting covered bilateral relations, Afghanistan’s current situation, security and stability, as well as opportunities for trade and investment.

Muttaqi described relations between Afghanistan and Kuwait as historic and positive, expressing hope that economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries would be further expanded.

Mohammed Nasser Al-Sayer expressed satisfaction with his visit to Afghanistan and said the Al-Sayer Group was interested in developing trade relations with the country.

He said the company was considering plans to export fresh and dried fruits from Afghanistan to Kuwait and other international markets.

The two sides also discussed expanding economic and trade cooperation, exploring investment opportunities in Afghanistan and making better use of available avenues for bilateral business engagement.
