CPO Gujranwala Visits WASA Head Office, Orders Immediate Registration of Cases Against Defaulters

Gujranwala, August 30: On the special invitation of WASA Gujranwala Chairman Umar Farooq Dar, CPO Gujranwala Dr Ghayas Gul visited the WASA Head Office and held an important meeting with Managing Director WASA Abdul Waheed. Senior WASA officers and staff welcomed the CPO on his arrival.

During the visit, CPO Dr Ghayas Gul distributed vehicle keys among newly appointed drivers of WASA. He also appreciated the ongoing field operations and measures being taken by WASA to provide better services to citizens.

During the meeting, MD WASA Abdul Waheed briefed the CPO about outstanding and overdue bills owed by WASA consumers and the difficulties being faced in recovering the outstanding dues. He informed the CPO that WASA had submitted applications against around 400 defaulters at various police stations, but the recovery process was being adversely affected due to delays in legal action.

Following the briefing, CPO Gujranwala Dr Ghayas Gul directed the concerned police officers and police stations to immediately register cases against WASA defaulters in accordance with the law and take effective action on pending applications.

The CPO assured that Gujranwala Police would provide all possible legal assistance and support to WASA in recovering outstanding dues. He also directed the concerned officials to ensure legal action for the recovery of unpaid bills.

On the occasion, WASA Chairman Umar Farooq Dar and MD Abdul Waheed reaffirmed their commitment to providing better facilities to citizens, further improving WASA’s performance and ensuring timely recovery of outstanding dues. They said that providing quality services to citizens and making the institution’s system more efficient were among the top priorities of WASA Gujranwala.

President of WASA Ittehad Union Gujranwala Muhammad Ishaq Mian, along with WASA officers and staff, was also present at the occasion.
