ISLAMABAD, September 1: Pakistan’s leading technology company Zong has won five awards at the Dragons of Asia Awards 2026, including two Gold, one Bronze and two Black Dragon awards, marking a major achievement for the company’s creative and marketing excellence.
Zong became the only telecom operator to win a Gold Award for its 5G campaign at the prestigious awards. The recognition was given for the company’s 5G launch and “Aisa Hai Future” campaigns, while campaigns including Zong My5 2025 and ProMax Hattrick were also recognized.
The achievement marks an important milestone for Zong, reflecting the creative strength behind its overall brand strategy and communications. It also highlights the company’s broader commitment to transforming next-generation technologies into meaningful experiences for consumers, businesses and communities.
Leveraging the global standards, technological leadership and innovation capabilities of China Mobile, Zong launched its journey to explain the real meaning of 5G in Pakistan. Under the theme “Aisa Hai Future,” the company positioned 5G as an enabling technology for a smarter, more connected and digitally empowered future.
According to Zong, its 5G launch and “Aisa Hai Future” campaigns focused on presenting technology in simple and accessible ways, making the benefits of 5G easier to understand for everyday users. Through creative storytelling, consumer education and simple communication around emerging artificial intelligence technologies, the campaigns highlighted how 5G and AI could improve people’s daily lives, work and connectivity.
The strategy also supports Pakistan’s broader digital transformation objectives by aligning Zong’s technology and communications priorities with the national vision of a more digitally inclusive and technology-enabled society.
The recognition of campaigns such as Zong My5 2025 and ProMax Hattrick reflects the broader scope of the company’s communications strategy, which combines technology, consumer insights and creative storytelling to turn products into simple and engaging experiences while clearly communicating the strength and performance of its network.
Zong Head of Marketing Sajid Munir said winning five awards at the Dragons of Asia, including a Gold Award for its 5G campaigns, and being the only telecom operator recognized with Gold in the category demonstrated the strength of Zong’s overall brand strategy and creative communications.
He said communication around 5G should not be limited to talking about technology but should also demonstrate how technology could create real value for people. Through “Aisa Hai Future,” he added, Zong was bringing together AI and 5G with consumer creativity to make the future more understandable, relevant and accessible for Pakistan while strengthening its leadership in the 5G era.
Zong Deputy Director MarCom Hina Ali said the company’s objective had been to make the future simpler and easier for consumers to understand. She said technologies such as 5G and AI had the potential to transform everyday experiences, but their impact became meaningful when people understood how they could benefit from them.
She said the five awards reflected the strategic thinking, creativity and consumer understanding behind Zong’s campaigns and validated the creative standards that underpin the company’s brand strategy and communications as it seeks to lead Pakistan into the 5G era.
The recognition at the Dragons of Asia further strengthens Zong’s position in Pakistan’s emerging 5G landscape. It highlights not only the company’s evolution from a connectivity provider into a technology services enterprise, but also the creative capabilities driving this transformation.
Zong said it was leveraging next-generation connectivity, AI and digital capabilities to create value across its ecosystem. As it continues its 5G journey, the company remains focused on demonstrating the real meaning of 5G through customer-centric connectivity, a diverse portfolio of experiences, products and services, and AI-powered solutions designed to empower consumers, businesses and society.
Through “Aisa Hai Future,” Zong is not only announcing the arrival of next-generation connectivity but also seeking to demonstrate its practical impact, helping consumers in Pakistan understand and experience what the future can look like.
