Google Offers Pakistani Students One Year of Free Gemini Plus, Registration Process Announced

ISLAMABAD, Aug 20: Google has announced a one-year free offer of premium Gemini features under Google AI Plus for Pakistani students, enabling eligible students to use advanced artificial intelligence tools for educational, research and study purposes.

According to Google, eligible college students in more than 140 countries outside the United States can receive Google AI Plus free of charge for one year. The package includes access to Gemini Omni, twice the standard usage limits in Gemini and 400GB of cloud storage.

Pakistani students can avail themselves of the offer by registering through Google’s Student Hub. Students will be required to verify their identity and student status, after which eligible applicants will receive access to the one-year free Google AI Plus plan.

Google has also introduced a new Student Hub within Gemini, offering features including Study Notebooks, flashcards, practice quizzes and other educational tools. Students can upload lecture notes, syllabi and other study materials to create personalised study plans and practice quizzes.

The new features also include Interactive Visualizations, which can help students understand complex scientific and academic concepts through visual and 3D models. Through Gemini Live, students can also interact with their study materials and receive AI assistance during research and learning.

According to Google, eligible students can claim the offer until December 31, 2026. After the one-year free period ends, the regular Google AI Plus subscription fee will apply, and students have been advised to review the subscription terms and applicable charges before enrolling.
