Malaysian Interior Minister visits Pakistan Monument and Islamabad Police Lines

Islamabad: Malaysian Minister of Home Affairs Saifuddin Nasution bin Ismail, accompanied by Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, visited the Pakistan Monument and Islamabad Police Lines.

Upon his arrival at the Pakistan Monument, a smartly turned-out contingent of the Federal Constabulary presented a guard of honour to the Malaysian Interior Minister. He visited the Martyrs’ Memorial, laid a floral wreath and offered Fateha in honour of the martyrs, paying tribute to their great sacrifices.

The Malaysian Interior Minister was also briefed on the historical significance of the Pakistan Monument. He appreciated the historical importance of the monument and the Martyrs’ Memorial.

Later, a ceremonial parade was held in honour of the Malaysian Interior Minister at Islamabad Police Lines. A special contingent of the Islamabad Police presented a guard of honour, while the national anthems of Pakistan and Malaysia were played.

The Malaysian Interior Minister inspected the parade and appreciated the professionalism of Islamabad Police personnel. He also distributed awards among police officers and personnel in recognition of their outstanding performance.

Inspector General Federal Constabulary Riaz Nazir Gara, Inspector General Islamabad Police Ali Nasir Rizvi, Deputy Inspector General Islamabad and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.
