The inauguration ceremony was attended by former federal minister and prominent industrialist S.M. Muneer as chief guest, alongside senior executives from Pakistan and Japan, representatives of the banking sector, industrialists, investors, dealers, and members of the national and international media. Speaking at the event, S.M. Muneer described the initiative as a landmark step towards reducing Pakistan’s dependence on imported fuels and promoting environmentally friendly transportation. He noted that the adoption of alternative energy technologies would help conserve foreign exchange reserves, strengthen the economy and pave the way for industrial growth. Nippon Japan Group Chief Operating Officer Haris Khan said the company’s vision extends beyond the introduction of new vehicles to the establishment of a comprehensive green mobility ecosystem in Pakistan. He emphasized that Japanese technology is synonymous with quality, reliability and sustainability, adding that Pakistan has the potential to emerge as a regional hub for hydrogen mobility.

Captain (Retd.) Amir Raza Zaidi, Chief Executive Officer of Nippon Pakistan, said the company plans to develop a nationwide network of dealerships, training centres, modern workshops and after-sales services. He added that the initiative would facilitate technology transfer, create employment opportunities and support the growth of local industry.

Addressing the gathering, UBL Group Head Chaudhry Qaiser Iqbal underscored the role of financial institutions in supporting investments that advance clean energy, technological innovation and sustainable economic development.
