ISLAMABAD (special crosspondent) – Chief Whip of the Senate and Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Finance, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, visited the Government Girls Degree College Hunza today to unveil a series of infrastructure development initiatives aimed at fostering academic excellence. The Senator announced that the institution would be equipped with a comprehensive solar power system, a state-of-the-art information technology laboratory, and upgraded clean drinking water facilities to ensure a conducive learning environment. Speaking to the faculty and student body, Senator Mandviwalla underscored that dedication and perseverance remain the primary pillars of success in the modern era. He encouraged the students to prioritize their academic pursuits, cultivate professional confidence, and sharpen the essential skills required to contribute effectively to the nation’s future. The Senator highlighted that with youth representing nearly 60 percent of the national population, they serve as the country’s most significant asset. He reiterated the government’s commitment to prioritizing national development by ensuring that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision for accessible education is met with tangible improvements in technology and infrastructure.

Commitment to Digital Literacy and Sustainable Infrastructure

Addressing the gathering, Senator Mandviwalla explained that the installation of the new IT laboratory is a strategic move to provide female students with the digital proficiency required in a globalized economy. He further noted that the integration of solar energy would provide the college with a sustainable and reliable power supply, effectively mitigating issues caused by energy instability. Regarding the provision of clean water, he emphasized that fundamental health facilities are crucial for sustaining an optimal learning environment.

Empowering the Next Generation of Leaders

“When we invest in our youth, we invest in the future of Pakistan,” the Senator remarked. He urged the students to dream ambitiously, uphold high moral standards, and work toward becoming responsible, forward-thinking citizens. Similar to the national focus seen during Pakistan Independence Day celebrations and efforts supported by entities like the LCCI, the Senator emphasized that institutional support is a prerequisite for progress. The faculty and student body expressed their gratitude for these initiatives, acknowledging that the improvements would significantly enhance the educational standards at the Government Girls Degree College Hunza.
