Pakistan, Iran to Continue Efforts for Regional Peace, De-escalation: PM Shehbaz Sharif

BISHKEK, August 31: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan and Iran are brotherly neighbouring countries and will continue playing their role in promoting peace and reducing tensions in the region.

Talking to the media after his meeting with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Heads of State meeting in Bishkek, the Prime Minister said meetings between the leaders of the two brotherly countries were always a source of satisfaction and pleasure.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan and Iran, as brotherly countries, would continue to play their role in promoting peace in the region and would also contribute towards reducing tensions amid the prevailing situation.
