Pakistan, Türkiye agree to convene next HLSCC session at earliest

Istanbul, August 30: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a meeting with Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Istanbul and discussed the continued strengthening of bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both sides expressed satisfaction over the continued expansion of Pakistan-Türkiye relations in the political, economic, security and cultural domains.

The two Foreign Ministers welcomed the progress achieved under the framework of the Pakistan-Türkiye High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC) and agreed on the early convening of the next session of the Council.

During the meeting, the two sides also exchanged views on matters of regional and international importance and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination and cooperation for regional peace and stability.

Special Secretary (UN) Nabeel Munir, Director General (UN) Umar Siddique, First Secretary Qazi Saleem and Deputy Director to the Foreign Minister Agha Hunain also joined Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar during the meeting.
